Yes, Dynamics 365 Business Central has been officially announced by Microsoft, and yes there will be a SaaS offering for Dynamics NAV. But it is also a fact that Dynamics GP is here to stay, and will be always available.

I have received multiple calls from clients asking about the future of Dynamics GP, and here is the answer.

Dynamics GP Roadmap

Here are some important facts:

Dynamics 365 is a cloud based solution, it is a new product that has been introduced as part of Microsoft Strategy (moving to the cloud). It doesn’t represent in any means a replacement of the existing products such as Dynamics GP or NAV.

With the introduction of Dynamics 365 – Business Central ( the cloud based version of Dynamics NAV) few days ago, this topic has come to existence all over again … but it has not been effective before, neither it will be now or in the future.
Dynamics GP capabilities are represented with its large customer base all over the world, the rich and professional partner network and ISVs it has, and most importantly the exceptional support it receives from experts.

Dynamics GP has reached the maturity level, at which it provides robust financial and supply chain capabilities for companies from different domains. It has recently started introducing upgrades and new features as derived from the clients’ suggestions.  GPUG has been witnessing tremendous growth throughout the previous year till now. More partners and clients are participating in the yearly and quarterly events, seminars and conference.

Be assured and comfortable, Dynamics GP will always be available.
